What happened to home automation?
Whatever happened to home automation? If you have watched the TV in the last 20 years, by now we were all supposed to live in homes that practically read our minds and made things happen. We should be able to control all of our appliances from one place, have window blinds that automatically opened and closed based on the outside light, coffee pots that would automatically dispense the right amount of coffee and be brewed just when we needed a hit.
But, none of it has happened. At least not for regular people. Perhaps it all takes place behind the walls of the wealthy. My coffee pot still needs me to empty, clean and refill it, even with water, though I must admit, if I remember to program it, it will have a cup of coffee ready when I wake up.
I'm still waiting for everything to be controlled from my computer……what about you?
